I enjoy the different personalities of the staff and clients at LIGHT. If not for LIGHT, I would probably be on drugs, a thief, and unaware of myself or my surroundings. LIGHT has grounded me and helped me to become whole.

Who We Are

LIGHT is a community-based, minority business certified 501(c)3 organization in the heart of Baltimore City whose mission is to promote the health and wellness of our communities by providing the highest quality of comprehensive information, guidance, and treatment services for individuals, children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS, poverty, substance abuse, mental illness and disabilities.

LIGHT is about supporting children and families, regardless of ability to pay; envisions a community where individuals are educated on, and receive health care and psychosocial support services that will assist them to live healthier and productive lives.

After reviewing our programs, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recognized LIGHT as a national model for the services we provide.
